Bayern Munich to Advance (-200)

Risking 4u to win 2u

Arguably the best matchup of the Round of 16 features one team that has a history of recent success in this competition, while the other has a history of disappointing, so we are going heavy on the Germans here. Perhaps most importantly, Kylian Mbappe and Sergio Ramos both went out with injuries in their last game, and are unlikely to play in Leg 1, so if Bayern can win this leg, advancing in the tie should be a lock with the second game in the Allianz Arena.

Real Madrid to Advance (-135)

Risking 1.35u to win 1u

The other intriguing matchup is a rematch of last year’s final, where Real Madrid beat Liverpool 1-0. Well, this year’s Liverpool team has massively underperformed in the Premier League, and while Real Madrid has struggled at times as well this year, you never want to bet against them in this competition. Give me Los Blancos.

Dortmund to Advance (+145)

Risking 1u to win 1.45u

I have to give you guys one underdog to advance, to give me arguably the hottest team in the competition right now, Borussia Dortmund. The German squad has won their first seven games of 2023, clearly benefiting from the extended winter break that Bundesliga teams get. Chelsea’s roster is in the middle of a transition with some new arrivals and departures, so bank on the Germans to pull the upset over two legs.

Napoli to Win the Cup (+1200)

Risking 1u to win 12u

Now is a good time to get a few future bets in before the Round of 16 starts, and the soon-to-be Italian champions are being disrespected at this price. Napoli finished atop a group with Liverpool, who have been struggling all year and face the defending champions, and yet they are at +800. Napoli is a serious threat here, so put a small bet down at a great price.

Bayern Munich to Win the Cup (+600)

Risking 2u to win 12u

The only reason the Germans have this good a price is because of the tough Round of 16 matchup against PSG. If they get past that, this number will likely get cut in half, so take a shot on it now before it’s too late. Man City’s number is simply too high when the gap between them and Bayern is marginal at the moment.
