We are back to our winning ways, as we witnessed yet another blowout in the series between the Heat and Celtics. This game almost seemed too obvious – the Celtics probably should have won Game 3 and had their backs against the wall heading into Game 4. The Heat were content with stealing back home-court advantage. While I wasn’t expecting Miami’s starting five to forget the game of basketball, it was a very predictable outcome. Even without Marcus Smart, the Celtics put together a strong performance on both ends of the floor.

Injuries and blowouts have been the stories of this series. This has honestly been one of the strangest and most forgettable series in recent memory. Let’s hope we see some competitive basketball over the final three games.

Golden State Warriors at Dallas Mavericks – Expert Pick And Prediction

Series: 3-0, GSW

As mentioned in yesterday’s article, I wasn’t too disappointed with the outcome in Game 3. While I bet on the Mavericks, I noted that it was only a matter of time before the Warriors won a game in Dallas. They have now won a road game in 26 straight playoff series. Yes, that is a record and yes, that streak is unbelievable. I figured perhaps the Golden State win would come in Game 4 or Game 6, but they wasted no time putting their stamp on the series. The Mavericks now face the impossible task of becoming the first team in NBA history to win a seven-game series after losing the first three games.

The Mavericks played well for portions of Game 3, but ultimately didn’t get enough from their supporting cast. They are willing to live and die by the three-pointer and it has haunted them in this series. Maxi Kleber seems scared to shoot at this point and Reggie Bullock missed a lot of open looks on Sunday night. While the writing is on the wall, it doesn’t mean the Mavericks aren’t going to go down swinging. You don’t beat the Suns in a seven-game series and then get swept in the next round. I know we shouldn’t put too much stock into regular season numbers, but by most accounts, the Suns were a better team than the Warriors. This game is all about pride and the Mavericks seem to have a lot of it.
