Free MLB Player Props Picks For Today

Eovaldi started 2022 in really strong form and went through stretches where he looked like a true ace. Then, he got injured, and missed over a month of the season. In his three starts since returning from the IL, his velocity has been down, and the results have been putrid. He has not had the easiest matchups in those three starts, but today isn’t any easier.

The Astros strikeout at the fourth-lowest rate in baseball and will be hitting in their home park. Eovaldi’s total outs line is at 17.5 and I wouldn’t mind taking the under on that prop as well. I don’t think this is the start where he comes back to his earlier season form.

Jon Gray might be the most underrated pitcher in baseball. He has gone 14-straight outings pitching at least five innings and just doesn’t ever seem to get hit around too much.

Gray has thrown at least 90 pitches in all but one of those 14 outings. Due to his efficiency in getting through lineups and his longer leash, Gray should have no problem getting 6.2 innings vs this Orioles team. The Orioles are bottom third in batting average and wRC+. They also strikeout at the 8th highest rate in the league.

The Mets are going to be a great team to target for hitting props today going up against Patrick Corbin. All of the right-handed power bats can be used at your discretion. At this line, I will be happy to make a bet on Marte to hit one yard.

He has two home runs in his last four games and should be able to produce hard hits in this matchup. His over 1.5 total bases prop is -105 on DraftKings right now if you would prefer a safer bet.  Either way, I would invest some money on Marte. Corbin is giving up hard hits at a 44.5% rate.

That is the highest of his career. His HR/FB ratio is in line with his career rates, so he isn’t necessarily a regression candidate. However, he is just a very bad pitcher, who gives up a lot of fly balls and home runs.

Ramirez is one of the best hitters in all of baseball and doesn’t get enough publicity due to not playing in a large market organization.  He will be facing Zach Davies who is coming off a 5 week stint on the IL due to shoulder injury. Even without the injury concerns, this would be a very difficult matchup for Davies.

The Guardians don’t strike out and also make pitchers earn their outs. Davies doesn’t have the ability to miss bats and I think this number is very fair for Ramirez to go yard
