Free MLB Player Props Picks For Today

Paolo Espino has a strong fly-ball lean and a very low strikeout rate. He is going to have his hands full against this Phillies team today.

It is going to be over 90 degrees with the winds blowing out directly to center field. The number on Kyle Schwarber is too small for my liking at only +190, but I am willing to take some longer odds with Realmuto and Hall.

Espino has given up at least one home run in seven of his last eight starts. The fly balls have been a real problem and I think that trend continues today. Even if the Phillies don’t get the home runs off of Espino, the Nats have one of the worst bullpens in baseball, which leaves us with additional ways to win our wagers via Hall and Realmuto.

Drew Hutchison does a decent job keeping the ball on the ground, but he does give up 42.3% hard contact. He also has an unsustainable 6.8% HR/FB ratio. Arozarena isn’t the most prolific home-run hitter, but he does have to play his home games at Tropicana Field – the worst hitting park in all of baseball.

I will also be adding Arozarena’s over 1.5 total bases at +120 to my betting card. That line can be found at DraftKings Sportsbook.   Hutchison has less than a 16% strikeout rate. Between that and the hard contact, the Rays should be able to handle this spot pretty easily.

Between the low strikeout percentage and high walks that Hutchison gives up, I think he will have a very hard time going over this total.

Hutchison left his last start due to an ankle injury, but to be fair, it doesn’t sound too serious. He also has a shorter leash than most MLB starters and has not gone over 90 pitches all season. The Rays do strikeout at a decent clip, but I am firmly behind the Rays to get to Hutchison in this game and I think he will be knocked out early.
