Everything is going to plan, but I am not ready for the season to be over. We all deserve a Game 7 and this time, a competitive one. I am going to miss writing this betting article each day, especially since it’s gone as well as I could have hoped. The big story in Game 5 was turnovers. After having one of the highest turnover rate of any team in the playoffs, the Warriors only had six on Monday night. Meanwhile, the Celtics had 18 turnovers.

The rest of the box score favored the Celtics. They out-rebounded the Warriors 47-to-39, they committed fewer fouls, and they were significantly better from the three-point line. With the win, Golden State handed Boston their first back-to-back losses of the season. We now head back to Boston for Game 6 on Thursday night. If the Celtics can defend their home court, we’ll get a winner-take-all Game 7 in San Francisco on Sunday night.

NBA Finals Game 6 Preview: Celtics vs. Warriors

The pressure is all on the Celtics at this point. They have lost their lead in the series and are now trying to stave off elimination. Luckily, Boston has responded to adversity as well as any team in the playoffs. Prior to Game 5, they were 8-0 after a loss in the postseason. They also have the most road wins of any team in the playoffs. On top of that, Boston provides one of the best home-court advantages of any arena in the league.

I’m not going to lie, I’m excited to mix things up in Game 6. I bet on the Warriors to win the series and bet on them in every single game. I thought they were strong options in all three home games and then I decided to bet Golden State in both road games given the fact that they have a record-breaking 27 straight playoff series with a win away from home. The strategy has led to a small profit, but I’m all for rooting for a Game 7.

The Celtics path to victory is fairly simple – take care of the ball a little better, force a few more turnovers from the Warriors, and continue to dominate the boards. If they continue their strategy of making everyone but Stephen Curry beat them, it could pay dividends in Boston.
